Bethesda Magazine Readers Vote Sibley “Readers’ Pick, Best Place to Have a Baby”

Sibley Memorial Hospital was voted “Readers’ Pick, Best Place to Have a Baby” by Bethesda Magazine readers in its annual “Best of Bethesda 2017” edition. About 13,000 people voted to determine the rankings.

In 2016, 3,412 women gave birth at Sibley. Among the babies born at Sibley, were 45 sets of twins. Sibley has historically delivered more babies than any other hospital in D.C.

With the September 2016 relocation of the Center for Babies and Families to two floors in Sibley’s new patient tower, moms-to-be receive a special birthing experience that combines exceptional comfort and amenities with the latest medical technology. Among the features designed to address the needs of moms, babies and families, and give staff and doctors the ability to provide state-of-the-art care are:

  • 18 labor, delivery and recovery rooms equipped for high-risk and multiple birth deliveries

  • Advanced infant security system
  • In-room medication access
  • Mobile fetal monitoring, central fetal monitoring and round-the-clock neonatologists and neonatal nurses in the Silberman Family Special Care Nursery
